Emily B. Gore

Emily B. Gore is an accomplished library professional with extensive experience in digital scholarship and library technology. Currently serving as the Deputy University Librarian and Associate University Librarian at The University of Georgia since May 2022, Emily manages Collections, Discovery, and Digital Scholarship. Previous roles include Assistant Dean of Libraries and Associate Professor of Practice at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where responsibilities centered on Digital Initiatives and Technology Infrastructure. Notably, Emily led member services as Director at the Digital Preservation Network and oversaw content strategy at the Digital Public Library of America. A background in digital projects is further evidenced by positions at Florida State University, Clemson University, and the State Library of North Carolina. Emily holds a Master of Library and Information Science from The University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Arts in English/Technical Writing from Clemson University, along with participation in the UCLA Senior Library Fellows program and the Frye Leadership Institute.
