Troup Ackerman

Troup Ackerman, GSP, currently serves as the Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Safety Manager at the University of Georgia since August 2018, overseeing a team that provides air quality assessments, exposure monitoring, and workplace ergonomics consultations. Previously, Troup held roles as an Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Safety Specialist, where responsibilities included conducting workplace hazard assessments and managing respiratory protection programs, and as a RCRA Compliance and Hazardous Waste Management Associate II, conducting chemical waste pickups and organization. Troup's experience also includes an internship as an EHS and Fire Safety Student Technician at Georgia College & State University and an Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability Intern at J.M. Huber Corporation. Troup holds a Master’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Georgia College & State University.
