Andrew Westby is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research & Knowledge Exchange at the University of Greenwich. Andrew has held this position since July 2018.

Westby has over 25 years of experience in research and enterprise management in the Higher Education sector. Andrew was previously the Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor (Research and Enterprise) at the University of Greenwich from June 2015 to July 2018. Prior to that, they were employed at the Natural Resources Institute for over 10 years, where they led the institute's world-renowned research on sustainable agriculture, natural resources management and food security.

Andrew Westby obtained their PhD in Food Technology from the University of Reading. Andrew also holds a BSc(Hons) in Food Science/Microbiology from the University of Leeds. Andrew Westby's educational career began at Firth Park Comprehensive School in Sheffield.

Andrew Westby works with Peter Griffiths - Pro Vice-Chancellor, Faculty of Engineering & Science, Peter Taylor - COO, and Jane Roscoe - Deputy Vice-Chancellor. Their manager is Jane Harrington, Vice-Chancellor.
