Tanja Porčnik

Tanja Porčnik is a Postdoctoral Fellow and Lecturer at the University of Hamburg since October 2022, specializing in the research area of Law in Global Context, with a focus on constitutionalism, jurisprudence, and comparative law. Previously, Tanja served as an Advisor at the Legatum Institute, President of the Visio Institute, and Director at the Fraser Institute, engaging in public policy, human rights, and economic development research. Tanja has extensive teaching experience in various legal and economic topics across several semesters and has held leadership roles in organizations promoting freedoms and human rights, including the Cato Institute, where Tanja managed global external relations and conducted substantive research. Tanja holds a Doctor of Science in Humanities and Social Sciences and multiple degrees in political science and economics from esteemed universities, including the University of Ljubljana and Georgetown University.
