Joy

Joy Ma has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Their most recent position was as an Associate Director of Development - Corporate & Foundation Relations at the University of Hawai'i Foundation, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at AAAS for 11 years, where they held the position of Editorial Content Manager for EurekAlert! and Associate Editor for EurekAlert! Chinese. During their time at AAAS, they oversaw editorial operations, managed business development and marketing campaigns, and successfully grew revenue in new markets. Before joining AAAS, Joy worked at Penguin Group (China) as an Assistant to the Managing Director. Joy also gained experience as a News Assistant at NPR Beijing Bureau from 2005 to 2009.

Joy Ma's education history begins with their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature, General from Minzu University of China, which they obtained from 1999 to 2003. Joy later pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Broadcast Studies from the Communication University of China, during the period from 2003 to 2006.
