Carlos Gooden

Carlos Gooden, Ph.D., currently serves as the Executive Director of Graduate Business Programs at the University of Houston-Downtown since 2021. Previous positions include Director of Admissions at Chicago State University (2020-2021), Director of Student Recruitment at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business (2019-2020), and Senior Associate Director of Admissions at Xavier University of Louisiana (2017-2019). Additionally, Carlos held the role of Associate Director of Admissions at the University of New Orleans (2013-2017) and served as a Senior Admissions Counselor/Assistant Director of Admissions for Diversity Recruitment at the University of Cincinnati (2010-2013). Carlos Gooden holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Administration: Higher Education from the University of New Orleans, a Master of Education in Higher Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication: Public Relations from The University of Toledo, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Marketing from the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business.
