Naomi Berger-Perez

Naomi Berger-Perez is an experienced mental health professional currently serving as the Director of Counseling Services at the University of Houston-Downtown since September 2022. Previously, Naomi held the position of Senior Counselor at Humana, providing Employee Assistance Program services for the Memorial Hermann Hospital System from December 2018 to September 2022. Earlier roles include Outpatient Clinic Coordinator at Cypress Creek Hospital, where management of PHP, IOP, and CD IOP programs for adults and adolescents took place, as well as Staff Clinician III at DePelchin Children's Center, collaborating with UT Physicians. Naomi's extensive background also includes work in private practice and various positions at DePelchin Children's Center and MedCare Pediatric Group, alongside a foundational role as a Children's Counselor at the Montgomery County Women's Center. Naomi holds a Master's of Arts in Counseling from Sam Houston State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Texas A&M University.
