Zafor Ahmed

Zafor Ahmed, PhD, PMP, serves as an Associate Professor of Management Information Systems at the University of Houston-Downtown since August 2020 and as the Assistant Chair of the Department of Finance Economics & Information Systems since January 2022. Prior to this, Zafor held the position of Assistant Professor of MIS at California State University-Sacramento from September 2018 to May 2020. Zafor has extensive experience in the banking sector, having worked as a Senior IT/Enterprise Solutions Specialist at the Bank of Canada from August 2007 to August 2020, focusing on Master Data Management, process automation, and job scheduling solutions. Zafor's earlier roles include Technical Project Manager at Asia Pacific Foods N Things and Educational Technology Consultant at Brock University. Educational credentials include a PhD in Management Information Systems from Carleton University, an MSc in Computer Science, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, both from Brock University.
