Celina Lopez-Dugas

Celina Lopez-Dugas, MSW, is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in social work and higher education. Currently a Doctoral Student at Sam Houston State University since December 2021, Celina has also served as the Director of Veteran Services at the University of Houston since December 2014, where support is provided to over 3,000 service members, veterans, and their families. Prior to this role, Celina worked as a Clinical Social Worker for the Veterans Health Administration from October 2011 to November 2014, aiding returning veterans in their transition to campus life. Celina began a career in the United States Air Force as a Social Worker from October 2005 to September 2011, focusing on family readiness and advocacy. Holds a Master of Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University, earned in 2003.
