Consuelo Waight

Consuelo Waight is a distinguished academic and leader in human resource development, currently serving as a Professor and Director of the HRD Executive Program at the University of Houston since November 2010. Waight has held the position of President of the Fulbright Association Houston Southeast Chapter from November 2018 to December 2022 and was a Fulbright Scholar in 2016, where Waight led e-learning and adult learning workshops for the University of Belize and conducted research on human resource needs in Belize. Additionally, from August 1992 to July 1994, Waight worked as a Cross-Cultural Training Coordinator for the Peace Corps in Belize. Waight earned a Ph.D. in Human Resource Development from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 1997 and 2002.
