Nancy Amato

Nancy Amato is an accomplished academic currently serving as the Abel Bliss Professor and Director of the Siebel School of Computing and Data Science, as well as the Head of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign since January 2019. Prior to this role, Nancy held the position of Professor at Texas A&M University from January 1995 to January 2019. Nancy's educational background includes a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a MS in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and both a BS in Mathematical Sciences and an A.B. in Economics from Stanford University.
