Seung Yun Song

Seung Yun Song is a Mechanical Engineer at LifeFoundry, Inc. since May 2017, specializing in the design, fabrication, assembly, and testing of robotics and machinery for automating synthetic biotechnology processes. Concurrently, Seung Yun serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, teaching CAD design tools and developing a medical device for quantifying spasticity and rigidity. Prior experience includes co-founding and serving as Chief Technical Officer for Purdue Electric Racing, where significant contributions were made in electronics, battery pack design, suspension analysis, and bodywork development. Educational credentials include a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, along with a Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering from Purdue University.
