Mickey Edwards

Mickey Edwards, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Their current position is as the Lead Transportation Researcher at the University of Illinois Springfield, a role they started in January 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the University of Cincinnati from 2015 to 2021, where they held two positions - Adjunct Faculty from August 2017 to January 2021, and Graduate Assistant from August 2015 to May 2020. Before their academic career, they briefly worked as part of the Office of Senator Joe Donnelly at the United States Senate in 2014. In 2011, they worked as a Researcher in Packaging R&D at Procter & Gamble. Earlier in their career, they gained media experience as a Photojournalist at WXIN-TV FOX59 from 2005 to 2008, and at WKJG TV NBC-33 from 2000 to 2005.

Mickey Edwards, Ph.D. holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Regional Development Planning from the University of Cincinnati, which was completed between 2015 and 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Science, Technology, & Infrastructure Policy from Cornell University from 2013 to 2015. Furthermore, they received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University, where they studied from 2008 to 2011.
