Rick Lane

Rick Lane serves as the Director of International Student Services at the University of Illinois Springfield since February 2017 and has extensive experience in international education. With ownership of Inter-L, a community focused on addressing issues faced by international educators, Rick has also held significant roles, including Associate Director for International Student Services at Emory University and Director of International Student Services at The University of Illinois at Springfield. A veteran in the field, Rick has contributed to NAFSA: Association of International Educators through various volunteer positions, including training new professionals. Rick's earlier roles include coordinating international enrollment at Carson-Newman College and serving as a missionary and minister. Rick possesses degrees from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and Carson-Newman University, emphasizing a robust background in language and ministry.
