Patrick McNamara

Patrick McNamara is a seasoned neonatologist and current Division Head at the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine since June 2018, where also serves as a Professor of Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. With experience as the Medical Director for the Clarkson Sheridan Soccer Club from May 2013 to February 2020, Patrick integrated health sciences to enhance athlete development. Prior to this, Patrick worked at The Hospital for Sick Children from July 2001 to June 2018, directing clinical research and the neonatal echocardiography program, with a research focus on myocardial performance in critically ill neonates. Patrick earned a MB BCh BAO in Medicine from Queens University Belfast from 1987 to 1993.
