Russel Heskin

Russel Heskin has extensive experience in alumni relations and advancement, currently serving as the Executive Director of Special Projects at Western University of Health Sciences since October 2008. In this role, Russel oversees the documentation and recognition of donations while managing special projects through data analysis to align with the University’s advancement goals. Previously, Russel held positions including Senior Director of Stewardship and Special Projects and Director of Alumni Relations, where responsibilities included strategic planning and event management for alumni programming across multiple health sciences colleges. As a District VII Cabinet Member for the Council for Advancement & Support of Education since July 2015, Russel guides professional development programs for educational institutions in the Western U.S. Prior experience includes roles at Pomona College, the UCLA Alumni Association, and an educational background in Sociology from UCLA.
