Adam Nelson

Professor Of Chemical Biology at University of Leeds

Adam Nelson is an accomplished researcher and educator with extensive experience in the fields of chemical biology and organic chemistry. Currently serving as the Head of High-Throughput Molecular Discovery at the Rosalind Franklin Institute since April 2020, Adam also holds the position of Professor of Chemical Biology at the University of Leeds, where Adam has been active since February 1998. As Deputy Director of the Astbury Centre for Structural Molecular Biology, Adam collaborates with over 400 researchers at the intersection of life and physical sciences. Prior to these roles, Adam was a Senior Lecturer in Organic Chemistry at the University of Manchester from October 1996 to January 1998, and completed postdoctoral research under Professor E. J. Adam holds a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry and a BA/MA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
