Ali Tavassoli

Ali Tavassoli is a distinguished professional in the field of chemical biology, currently serving as Chief Scientific Officer at Curve Therapeutics Limited since July 2019. In addition, Ali holds a long-standing academic position at the University of Southampton, starting as a Lecturer in Chemical Biology in October 2006 and progressing to Professor of Chemical Biology. Previously, Ali contributed as a Postdoctoral Fellow at both Penn State University and the University of Sussex, specializing in chemical and biological chemistry. Ali also held the role of President of the Chemistry & Biology Interface Division of the Royal Society of Chemistry from July 2020 to July 2023. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the University of Bristol and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Reading.
