Waqas Tahir is a distinguished academic and research scientist with extensive expertise in biology and veterinary sciences. Currently serving as an Adjunct Associate Professor at The University of Lethbridge and a designated expert for BSE at the World Organisation for Animal Health, Waqas also holds a position as a Research Scientist with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. Waqas's previous roles include Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Calgary and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Universitätsmedizin Göttingen, along with honorary post-doctoral training at Universitat de Barcelona. Waqas obtained a PhD in Biology/Biological Sciences from The University of Göttingen and holds both an MPhil in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pakistan.
