Monique Sakalidis is a Research Scientist at the Department of Primary Industries & Regional Development (DPIRD) since September 2023 and serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Murdoch University in the Harry Butler Institute. Previously, Monique held the position of Assistant Professor at Michigan State University from August 2016 to September 2023, and completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship at The University of British Columbia from September 2011 to June 2016, focusing on population genomics of Sphaerulina musiva. Monique also worked at Murdoch University from 2004 to 2010 in various roles, including Laboratory Assistant and Research Assistant, concentrating on gene flow of the canker pathogen Botryosphaeria australis. Monique earned a PhD in Biological Sciences and a BSc (Hons) in Molecular Biology and Biological Sciences from Murdoch University.
