Helen Miller

Helen Miller is a commercial HR director with 25 years’ experience. She is currently Talent, Culture & Communications Director at Shop Direct, a £2bn-revenue digital retailer based in Liverpool. She has been central to its transformation from a catalogue business into an online-only retailer and helping Shop Direct to win employer of the year at the 2018 Retail Week Awards. Originally from Liverpool, Helen is passionate about bringing in, nurturing and retaining talent, as well as supporting the city’s growth as place to study, live and work.

Before Shop Direct Helen, who is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, spent 20 years in London where she held senior roles at EMI, the BBC and ASOS. All of these organisations had a strong talent, customer and digital focus, and Helen helped them build capabilities in these areas whilst creating great places to work.
