Michelle Girvan is an experienced data management professional currently serving as a Supervising Data Manager at the University of Liverpool since January 2014. In this role, Michelle leads the development of data management processes for non-CTIMP trials, authors Data Management Plans (DMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and manages training for data managers, alongside fulfilling line management responsibilities. Previously, positions included Data Manager for MCRN Clinical Trials at Alder Hey, where Michelle managed trial data, conducted quality assurance, and provided training, as well as Data Administrator roles that focused on maintaining patient data and improving data capture systems. Michelle also held a Data Lead position at Addaction, where responsibilities included analyzing performance data and reporting for commissioners, and an internship as Employability Project Officer at Liverpool Hope University, aimed at connecting education students with employment opportunities.
