E. Phil Ashurst

E. Phil Ashurst, CVE, currently serves as the Associate Director of Facility Planning at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette since July 2020. Previously, Ashurst dedicated over two decades to the CAJUNDOME & Convention Center, advancing from Stagehand to Production Coordinator, Production Manager, and ultimately to Operations Director before retirement in May 2020. Notable achievements include overseeing a $20 million renovation in 2016, enhancing the facility's seating, concessions, accessibility, and signage. Ashurst holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is a graduate of the PAFMS - Venue Management School.
