John Wallinga

John Wallinga has extensive experience in ocean engineering, currently serving as the Field Operations Manager at the University of Maine since July 1993, where responsibilities include the design, construction, deployment, and recovery of oceanographic research equipment. In addition to this role, John Wallinga has been the owner and operator of a self-serve car wash, College Avenue Car Wash, since February 2015. Furthermore, John Wallinga operates a consulting business, Marisources, established in January 2006, providing expertise in tidal modeling, mooring power turbines, data analysis, and the design and deployment of scientific buoys. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Oceanography from the University of New Hampshire and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Augsburg University.
