Fadia Tohme Shaya

Fadia Tohme Shaya is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as a Distinguished University Professor and Director of Informatics and Data Science at the University of Maryland, Baltimore since May 2017. Shaya has held various roles at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy since July 2001, progressing from Assistant Professor to Professor and Vice-Chair for Academic Affairs. Additionally, Shaya acts as Regional Director for the Harvard Business School Healthcare Alumni Association and has been a board member of the Maryland Higher Education Commission and AcademyHealth. Shaya's leadership experience includes directing the Center on Drugs and Public Policy and the Center for Innovative Pharmacy Solutions. Holding a PhD from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Shaya's extensive education includes advanced management and entrepreneurship studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and training at Harvard Business School.
