Katharine Abraham

Katharine Abraham is a Distinguished University Professor of Economics and Survey Methodology at the University of Maryland, where tenure spans from January 2002 to the present. Previous academic roles include Professor and Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Maryland from 1987 to 1997, and Research Associate at the Brookings Institution from 1985 to 1987. Additional experience includes serving as Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics from 1993 to 2001 and a Member of the Council of Economic Advisers from February 2011 to April 2013. Katharine Abraham's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Iowa State University.
