Mary Warneka

Mary Warneka is an accomplished educational leader with extensive experience in instructional design and faculty development. Currently serving as the Interim Executive Director at the University of Maryland's Teaching and Learning Transformation Center, Mary guides a team to enhance educational effectiveness and learning success. Previous roles include Director of Teaching Innovation, Associate Director of Learning Experience, and Assistant Director of Online Programs at the University of Maryland, where Mary focused on learner-centered educational opportunities and high-quality program development. Prior to this, Mary worked as an Instructional Designer for USAID, and managed adult volunteer development at the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital. With a strong academic background, including an ongoing Doctoral program in Instructional Technology at Towson University and advanced degrees in International Peace and Conflict Resolution, Mary combines expertise in instructional design with a commitment to innovative educational practices.
