Susan Whyte Simon

Susan Whyte Simon is an experienced educator and public relations professional with a strong background in communication. Currently serving as an Instructor at the University of Maryland's Department of Communication since July 2007, Susan teaches courses in public relations, news writing, and reporting, while also advising student teams for national competitions. With a longstanding involvement in the Public Relations Society of America since 1978, Susan has contributed as an APR Committee trainer. Previous roles include Director of Media Relations at Hilton Hotels and media relations positions at Kaiser Permanente and PacifiCare Health Systems. Susan holds both a BA and MA in Journalism and Public Relations from the University of Southern California.
