Taryn Thrasher is a College Lecturer at California State University, Long Beach, since August 2022, teaching the course "Interpersonal Violence and Victimization," which examines interpersonal violence. Taryn also serves as a Research Assistant at WPS - Educational and Psychological Assessments since October 2018, and previously worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Introductory Research Methods Course at CSULB. Taryn's research experience includes participation as an Undergraduate Researcher at UCLA, where involvement in the Psychological Research Opportunities Program led to the development and execution of a study on mental health attitudes among collegiate African American females. Additional experience includes a role as a Resident Assistant at UCLA Residential Life. Taryn holds a Master of Arts in Experimental Psychology from California State University, Long Beach, obtained in May 2023, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from UCLA, completed in 2018. High school education was completed at King Drew Medical Magnet High School of Medicine and Science, graduating in 2014.
