Mark Cassidy

Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research at University of Melbourne

Mark Cassidy is the current Dean of the Melbourne School of Engineering at the University of Melbourne. Mark has also served on the boards of the Forrest Research Foundation, St George's College at UWA, and the Oceans Institute. Professor Cassidy has been a faculty member at the University of Western Australia since 2000, where they are currently a Professor of Civil Engineering. Prior to their academic career, they worked as an engineer for Arup.

Mark Cassidy has a Bachelor of Engineering from The University of Queensland and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Oxford. Mark is also a graduate of the Company Directors Course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mark Cassidy reports to Allan J. Myers, Chancellor. They work with Ian Harper - Dean, Melbourne Business School, John Fazakerley - Dean, Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences, and Paul Kofman - Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics.
