Nicole Stupka is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne, where responsibilities include coordinating and executing academic and industry research projects, along with ongoing involvement in animal and cell culture studies. Prior to this role, Nicole served as a Lecturer in Medical Physiology at Deakin University, establishing an independent research program on matrix remodelling and selenoprotein function in skeletal muscle. Nicole's research was supported by both philanthropic and internal funding, contributing to the training of PhD and Honours students, as well as publishing research outcomes. Earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at the Institute for Technology, Research & Innovation at Deakin University, supported by a NHMRC Biomedical Postdoctoral Training Fellowship. Educational qualifications consist of a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science from McMaster University, along with a Doctor of Philosophy in Skeletal Muscle Physiology from the University of Melbourne.
