Nigel Brockbank

Nigel Brockbank is an experienced professional in the fields of product design and manufacturing, currently serving as the Lead Technician in the Robotics Lab at the University of Melbourne since May 2023. With a robust background in design and technical operations, Nigel has worked as a Product Design and Model Maker at Carbon Design since September 2015 and held various managerial roles, including AM Production Manager at Amiga Engineering and Head of Manufacture at Rakumba Lighting. Notably, Nigel established an Additive Manufacturing facility at Limelite Lighting Australia and contributed significantly to the 3D printing sector as a Specialist and Training Manager at Thinglab3D. Academic contributions include a role as a Sessional Lecturer at RMIT University alongside technical positions involving advanced 3D printing technologies. Nigel holds a Master's Degree and a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design from RMIT University, complemented by a Diploma of Design from Outer Eastern College of TAFE.
