Joanna Curtis

VP, Advancement at University of Memphis

Joanna Curtis is the current Vice President of Advancement at the University of Memphis. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Advancement Officer from March 2019 to July 2021, the Deputy Chief Development Officer for Principal Giving from March 2018 to March 2019, the Senior Director for University Development from May 2014 to March 2018, and the Director of Major Gifts from February 2008 to April 2010. Joanna has also worked as the Director of Development for Partners in Public Education and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis, and as a Development Specialist for the Memphis Public Library.

Joanna Curtis completed a BA in Joanna'story at Macalester College and then went on to study Art Joanna'story, Criticism and Conservation at University College Dublin. After completing their Master's in Public Administration with a focus in nonprofit management at The University of Memphis, they obtained certification from CFRE International as a CFRE.

Joanna Curtis reports to M. David Rudd, President. They are on a team with Radesh Palakurthi - Dean, Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality & Resort Management, Tammy Hedges - EVP, University Relations, and Maria Alam - Chief Human Resources Officer.
