Rose M. Glenn

Chief Communications & Marketing Officer at University of Michigan Health System

Rose Glenn joined Michigan Medicine in April 2019 after more than 30 years of experience in health care marketing and communications for large, complex organizations.

Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Hackensack Meridian Health, a $6.5 billion, 17-hospital system and medical school based in Edison, New Jersey.

Prior to that role, Rose was Senior Vice President, Marketing and Chief Experience Officer for Henry Ford Health System. During her 17-year tenure, she focused on optimizing the customer experience, including digital engagement, marketing and public relations for the $6 billion health system. Among her accomplishments were partnering with physicians to grow primary care and specialties, creating an enterprise-wide patient experience strategy and serving as part of the executive team that led the health system to receive the 2011 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

Rose’s career journey includes an executive position with ProMedica Health System in Toledo, Ohio, and leadership positions with Bon Secours Health System and Mercy Health Services (now Trinity Health) in Detroit.

Rose is president of the board of the American Hospital Association’s Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development. She is accredited by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and has served as a mentor for PRSA and several other local and national organizations. She was awarded her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she received a Distinguished Alumni Award in 2018. She received her master’s degree in strategic public relations from George Washington University in 2011, graduating with honors as a valedictorian.
