Katie Halverson

Katie Halverson, RD, LD, CDCES, currently serves as a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist at University of Minnesota Physicians and as the Lead Diabetes Educator for an NIH-funded research study at the University of Minnesota. With a robust background in diabetes education, Katie previously held a position as a Diabetes Education Specialist at Fairview Health Services, where responsibilities included providing diabetes self-management education and leading group classes on various diabetes-related topics. Earlier experience includes roles as a Health Coach at Provant, WIC Public Health Nutritionist for Hennepin County, and Clinical Dietitian at Essentia Health. A graduate of the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics/Dietitian, Katie has demonstrated a commitment to promoting health and wellness through education and support across diverse populations.
