Abshir Mohamed

Abshir Mohamed is an experienced professional in the fields of accounting and finance, currently serving as a Student Academic Integrity Committee Member and Student Representative at the University of Minnesota since April 2025. Prior experience includes working as an Elections Support Specialist and a Human Resources Business Partner Solution Intern through Urban Scholars at the City of Minneapolis from May 2023 to January 2025, as well as an intern at the MN Legislative Budget Office from January 2023 to June 2023. Additional roles include working at the Minnesota State Fair in August 2021 and in Finance & Property Services at the City of Minneapolis from May 2021 to September 2021. Abshir holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Minnesota and previously completed a Business Transfer Pathway in Accounting and Finance at North Hennepin Community College. Educational background includes attendance at Mankato East Senior High School and Thomas Jefferson High School.
