Alfred Marcus is a distinguished professor at the University of Minnesota and the Carlson School of Management, holding the Edson Spencer Chair in Strategy and Technology Leadership since 1984. With an extensive academic background, Alfred earned a PhD in political economy from Harvard University and both a BA and MA in History and Political Science from the University of Chicago. Alfred is recognized for contributions to the field through publications, including "Managing Strategic Uncertainty: Booms and Busts in the Energy Industry," and "Innovations in Sustainability: Fuel and Food," the latter of which received the Academy of Management ONE Outstanding Book Award in 2016.
