Mollie Viola

Mollie Viola is an experienced financial professional with a strong background in accounting and financial management. Currently serving as Controller and Director of Accounting Services at the University of Minnesota since September 2019, Mollie previously held positions at UnitedHealth Group, including Associate Director of Accounting and Accounting Manager, from September 2011 to September 2019, where responsibilities included managing financial regulatory reporting for multiple legal entities. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Financial Accountant at Minntech Corporation and as a Senior Accountant at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP, providing assurance and tax services in various sectors. Mollie began the accounting career as a Staff Accountant at Eugene R. Braam Accounting, supporting tax return completion and financial client presentations. Educational credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and additional studies at Bethel University and the University of Minnesota.
