Dr. Debra Chancey is the current Dean of the School of Education at the University of Mobile. Dr. has been in this role since May of 2005. Prior to that, they were with the Baldwin County Public School System from August of 1998 to May of 2005 as the Rockwell Elementary School. Dr. Chancey started their career in education with the Clarke County School District in August of 1987 and stayed there until May of 1998 when they Gillmore Elementary School. Dr. then moved to the Mobile Public School System where they were at Adelia Williams School from September 1984 to June 1987 and Hollinger's Island Elementary School from September 1981 to June 1984.
Dr. Debra Chancey has a Masters of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from University of Mobile, a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, English, and Business Administration from University of Mobile, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education from University of South Alabama.
They work with Jeff Calametti - Director, Library Services, Dr. Lori DeLong - Dean, School of Health & Sports Science, and Dr. Sarah Witherspoon - Dean, School of Nursing. Dr. Debra Chancey reports to Pamela Buchanan Miller, VP, Academic Affairs.
