Pam Miller

AVP, Academic Administration at University of Mobile

Dr. Pam Miller is currently the AVP of Academic Administration at University of Mobile. Prior to their current role, they served as the Director of Faculty Success at University of Mobile from 1995-2017. In this role, they were responsible for supporting faculty in the use of instructional technology and directing UM's Quality Enhancement Plan (Writing Intensive Networks). Before their time at University of Mobile, Dr. Miller was an English Instructor at University of Houston-Downtown from 1992-1993 where they taught composition, literature, business/technical writing, and desktop publishing. Dr. also taught English composition at Spring Hill College from 1999-2000. Dr. Miller has a wealth of experience in higher education and is committed to supporting faculty and students in their academic endeavors.

Dr. Pam Miller's educational career includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Instructional Design and Development from the University of South Alabama, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in English and Sociology Minor from Southwest Texas State University, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Journalism with Writing Minor from Texas State University. Dr. also has certification from Canvas Training in Assignments, Global Account Settings and Tools, Welcome to Canvas: Course Basics, and Being an Everyday Admin.

They are on a team with Dr. Doug Wilson - Dean, Center for Christian Calling, Dr. Kathy Dunning - Dean, School of Business, and Dr. Al Miller - Dean, Alabama School of the Arts. Their manager is Pamela Buchanan Miller, VP, Academic Affairs.
