Alessia Carpoca

Alessia Carpoca is a seasoned professional in the fields of design and technology, currently holding the position of Professor and Head of Design and Technology at the University of Montana since August 2003. In addition to this role, Alessia Carpoca has been a Freelance Scenic Designer, Costume Designer, and Projection Artist at The University of British Columbia's School of Music since March 2000. With experience on the USITT Conference Committee and as a Director on the Board of Directors since 2003, Alessia Carpoca has contributed to the technical theatre profession from 1995 to 2016. Notably, a brief engagement as a Scenic Designer with Montana Repertory Theatre occurred in 2007. Educational background includes a Master of Fine Arts in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology from Northwestern University (2000-2003) and a degree in Scenografia from Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, with studies at The University of British Columbia in 1999-2000.
