Kathryn Shanley has been a faculty member and Special Assistant to the Provost at the University of Montana since 1999, where also serves as a Native American Studies faculty. Prior to this, Kathryn Shanley held a professorship with Montana Indian Education from 1999 to 2013. Educationally, Kathryn Shanley earned a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Minnesota State Moorhead between 1977 and 1980, followed by an M.A. and Ph.D. in English Language and Literature/Letters from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor from 1980 to 1985.
