Douglas Ward

Douglas Ward is a seasoned information technology professional with extensive experience in managerial roles within both non-profit and academic settings. Currently serving as the Director of Management Information Systems at the North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church since February 2003, Douglas oversees IT activities, vendor relationships, and customer support services. Additionally, Douglas holds positions as an Adjunct Professor of Computer Information Systems at the University of Mount Olive and as Director of Information Technology for the United Methodist General Conference, where strategic technology planning is undertaken for global gatherings. Prior experience includes roles such as Software Implementation Specialist at Capital Business Solutions and Product/Support Specialist at Blackbaud. Douglas holds a Master of Science in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and multiple degrees in Business Administration and Economics.
