D. Cristina Stefan currently serves as Pro Vice Chancellor for Research Innovation and Development at the University of Namibia, where responsibilities include leading research excellence initiatives and fostering collaborations with stakeholders. Concurrently, D. Cristina holds the position of Adjunct Associate Professor at SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute and serves as President and CEO of Medical Education Research and Innovation, overseeing projects addressing public health priorities. Previous roles include Director of the Institute of Global Health Equity Research at the University of Global Health Equity, Executive Director of the African Medical Research and Innovation Institute, and healthcare consultant for the World Health Organization. D. Cristina has extensive experience in oncology as a leader at Roche and as the first woman president of AORTIC. Educational qualifications comprise a PhD in Education from Stellenbosch University, an MBA from the International School of Management, and an MSc in Cancer Epidemiology from the University of York, among others.
