Jessica Thorn

Jessica Thorn is an experienced environmental consultant currently working with WWF since November 2023. Alongside this role, Jessica serves as a Research Fellow at the University of Namibia and a Lecturer in Sustainable Development at the University of St Andrews, the latter recognized as a leading institution in the UK. In addition, Jessica holds a position as a Research Associate for the Development Corridors Partnership at the University of York and is an Affiliate Member of The African Academy of Sciences. Previous roles include environmental consultancy for UNDP and the Strategy and Innovation Policy Organization, as well as fellowships with the Next Einstein Forum and the African Climate & Development Initiative. Jessica earned a DPhil in Zoology from the University of Oxford and has a strong academic background in environmental science and geography from esteemed universities.
