Lauren Simpson

Lauren Simpson is currently a Clinical Psychology PhD Student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a role assumed in September 2023, following a two-year tenure as Project Coordinator at the same institution. Lauren’s academic journey began at Amherst College, where a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology was earned, graduating summa cum laude in 2021. Experience encompasses substantial research roles, including overseeing undergraduate research teams, assisting in participant recruitment and data collection for various psychological studies, and authoring a manuscript on intimate partner violence and mental health outcomes. Additionally, Lauren has engaged in teaching various courses in psychology and has contributed to numerous research projects across prestigious institutions such as Yale University and McLean Hospital, gaining expertise in various areas including clinical assessments and survey development. Contributions to community initiatives include organizing events promoting sexual respect and supporting survivors of sexual violence.
