After studying economics punctuated by a doctorate at the University of Geneva, Jean-Marie Grether took part in several empirical research projects on commercial and migratory flows. He joined the UniNE in 2000 as a professor of international economics.
Dean of the Faculty of Economics twice (2009-2011 and 2013-2015), he specializes in questions of the impact of economic activities on the environment.
