Carlos Cardillo has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Carlos is currently serving as the Executive Director of Corporate Partnerships and Director of the Nevada Center for Applied Research at the University of Nevada, Reno since October 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of the Nevada Center for Applied Research from December 2015 to September 2021. Carlos also has experience as the Director of the State of Nevada FAA-Designated UAS Test Site at Nevada Autonomous, University of Nevada, Reno, starting in November 2022. In addition, they were a PhD Mentor at Trident University International, a Systems Analytics Director at Cirrus Systems LLC, a Research Director at Eye-Com Corporation, and a Principal Investigator at the United States Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory. Before that, they worked as the Director of Research & Development at the New York Institute for Medical Research and as a Senior Biometric Systems Analyst at NeuroCorp, LTD. Carlos began their career as a Systems Analyst and Programmer at HZI Research Center, Inc. Overall, Carlos has a rich background in applied research, development, and leadership roles.

Carlos Cardillo has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Health Science from Trident University International in Cypress, CA. Carlos also holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biostatistics from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. Furthermore, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Systems Engineering from the National University of the Northeast in Argentina and an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Computer Programming from the National University of Northeast, also in Argentina. In addition to their academic qualifications, Carlos obtained certification in the FBI Citizens Academy Program from the U.S. Department of Justice - Federal Bureau of Investigation in 2018.
