Kara Griffin

Kara Griffin is an accomplished financial professional with extensive experience in higher education and public accounting. Currently serving as Associate Vice President of Business & Finance at the University of Nevada, Reno since July 2018, Kara has held key roles including Assistant Vice President/Controller and Controller within the same institution. Prior to this, Kara spent over two decades at Grant Thornton as Audit Managing Director, and earlier experience includes a position as Assistant Controller at Shawnee Development, Inc. Kara holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from North Carolina State University.
