Gregory Labonte

Gregory LaBonte is an experienced academic and entrepreneur in the field of biological and environmental sciences. Currently serving as a Teaching Assistant Professor, Assistant Lecturer, Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor, and Laboratory Coordinator at the University of New England since August 2016, Gregory LaBonte coordinates and instructs laboratory courses in ecology, environmental biology, and cellular and molecular biology. In addition to this role, an Adjunct Professor position at Unity College involves teaching biological and ecological topics while enhancing curriculum and pedagogy. As the Founder and CEO of Maine Fly Guys, Gregory LaBonte promotes education in fly-fishing to support local fisheries conservation. Previous roles include Graduate Assistant at the University of Southern Maine, Natural Resource Field and Data Assistant at the Maine Department of Transportation, Fisheries Research Assistant at the University of Maine's Wildlife Department, and Fisheries Assistant at NOAA. Gregory LaBonte holds a Master of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern Maine and multiple degrees in Wildlife Ecology and Biology from the University of Maine.
